Take it easy on your IT department and assure SADA's smooth migration of your historic message data in a few steps:
- Analyze your needs
Our team will check that your environment meets system requirements and gather required information, such as total corpus size and desired time frame. We'll determine the number of instances AMP should run and ensure optimal transmission rate of archive data. We'll also coordinate with Google to confirm the time frame of migration.
- Environment Configuration
We'll help you configure Postini to accept archive data sent by the AMP application. Then we'll create user accounts for anyone who needs a Personal Archive.
- Install AMP DB and Migration Tool
SADA installs the lightweight and powerful AMP application in your environment. This installation consists of the AMP DB and the AMP Application. Learn more about AMP DB and the AMP Application.
AMP DB: This is a MySQL database that logs all messages sent to ensure that data is migrated to Postini in the most efficient way possible. It also flags messages that need to be migrated individually due to any complications (i.e. malformed archive mail data).
AMP Application: The migration application parses and then migrates the archive mail data to the Google Message Discovery archive service preserving meta data and reducing duplicated data. It thoroughly logs all actions taken by the program, including messages sent, messages not sent (with an explanation!) and counts for messages sent for each folder.
- Configure and Test
SADA will configure the migration tool and make your body of messages available to AMP migration tool (either by storing files locally or placing them in an available network share). We then run a test migration on data provided by us, or you. The tool will parse the message history, extract messages, wrap according to Google Message Discovery journal record file format and submit messages to your journaling email address.
- Activate and Monitor
After completing the test migration, full scale migration begins! SADA will actively monitor the process to make sure everything runs smoothly, and all issues are addressed immediately.
